In this webinar, Prof. Jarlei Fiamoncini (Dept of Food and Experimental Nutrition, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo) will talk about the application of dietary challenges combined with metabolomics analysis for the generation of data that allows the identification of individual post-prandial responses. In particular, we will discuss how multivariate statistics can be employed to reveal distinct human metabotypes and susceptibility to chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes. A postdoctoral position in the framework of a project in the areas of on-line exhaled breath analysis and nutrition is available. The primary scientific aim of NutriExhalomics is to apply metabolomics technologies for the identification and quantification of metabolites derived from nutrition and present in exhaled breath. The project will be carried out in close collaboration with Agroscope, the national center of excellence for research in agriculture and the food sector.
