Postgraduate course: Nutrimetabolomics: how to use the toolkit!

Background
Post-graduate courses/workshops have been held on several occasions just prior to NuGOweek offering PhD students and postdoctoral researchers an opportunity to attend a training course and a scientific meeting.
In 2019 a post-graduate course will be held in Bern, CH on:
– Saturday 7 September (kick-off, lectures, and informal get together)
– Sunday 8 September (lectures, group work )
– Monday 9 September (rounding up group work and group presentations, conclusions)
On Monday afternoon 9 September, registration for NuGOweek 2019 will start.

Target group
PhD/postdoctoral students who want to apply metabolomics tools in nutritional research

Course aims
To equip students to apply metabolomic tools to nutritional research.

In addition, the course provides an excellent opportunity for networking with other PhD students and early career researchers and for developing skills in undertaking collaborative research.

Program topics and draft programme
The course will require the students to read Nutrimetabolomics: An Integrative Action for Metabolomic Analyses in Human Nutritional Studies in preparation for this course. In lectures a variety of topics will be discussed.

The course will be held on Saturday 7 (start 17.00 hrs), Sunday 8 (09.00 – 15.00 hrs), Monday 9 September (9.00 – 13.00 hrs). NuGO-week 2019 opens at 17.30 hrs on 9 September.

Study load
The study load of this course is 2 ECTS and includes  preparatory work prior to the course.
The course will require the students to read Nutrimetabolomics: An Integrative Action for Metabolomic Analyses in Human Nutritional Studies in preparation for this course.
